Being born and raised in South India, Odisha, I have observed a stark difference in the way youngsters from North India (Hindi-speaking) and South India are treated. Professionals from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are often looked down upon for not being able to communicate effectively in the English language.

This difference robs even the most talented individuals of their self-confidence and self-esteem. This one limitation has been stopping our youngsters from being treated at par with others.

But, NOT Anymore.

The purpose of running Language Lab Academy is solely to boost the morale of people from the Hindi-speaking agrarian belt and help them stand shoulder to shoulder with professionals across the country.

I have adopted two schools of thought to teach spoken English. The first focuses on making students read, listen, and speak only in English from day one. This method is best suited for our Intermediate and Advanced level courses, as learners can easily comprehend a trainer who speaks entirely in English. It also creates an environment where students are encouraged to think in English, breaking out of their comfort zones.

Our second school of thought is the traditional method of translation, which is best suited for basic-level students who do not know the fundamentals of the English language. The translation method gives them a sense of belonging, as both the teacher and the study materials are bilingual. Beginners can connect better because they can draw parallels between the two languages and gradually develop their understanding.
